How many Grow Sensors do I need for my growing space?
For home growers, one Grow Sensor per grow tent is usually enough. However, the more sensors you have, the more detailed your data will be.
Some growers place multiple sensors at different heights - one high, one in the middle, and one at the bottom, to get a full picture of their environment.
While this level of detail can be fascinating, it’s not essential for everyone.
For larger grows and commercial facilities, we recommend deploying Grow Sensors strategically to ensure comprehensive environmental monitoring:
Substrate monitoring – One substrate sensor per 100 square feet (≈9.3 m²) of canopy or per irrigation zone.
Environmental monitoring – One Grow Sensor per grow room, with a minimum of one sensor per 600 square feet (≈55 m²) of canopy.
Ultimately, the number of sensors depends on how much data resolution you want. More sensors provide more insights, allowing you to fine-tune your environment with greater precision.
