How do I set lights on and lights of alerts?
Setting lights-on and lights-off alerts is simple and helps you catch any unexpected lighting issues in your grow.
How to set a lights-off alert (for unwanted light loss during the day)
Click on your grow in the dashboard.
Tap the cog icon in the top right corner.
Select "Limits and alerts."
Under the Day limits section, select ePPFD (which measures how much light your plants are receiving).
Set a low or danger low limit to a very dim value (e.g., 10).
Enable "Alert me" to receive a push notification.
If your lights turn off unexpectedly and ePPFD drops below this limit, you’ll get an instant alert.
How to set a lights-on alert (for unwanted light exposure at night)
Follow the same steps above, but select ePPFD under Night limits instead.
Set a high or danger-high limit (e.g., 10).
Enable "Alert me" to receive a push notification
If your plants receive more than 10 ePPFD of light during the night, you’ll be the first to know.
Fine-tuning sensitivity
This feature is fully adjustable to suit your setup. For example, if you’re growing in a greenhouse and the moonlight is triggering alerts, simply increase the night limit above the brightness of the moon.
You can check your graph data to determine the best threshold.
